Deacons Ministry

The Deacon ministry at Clinton Presbyterian Church is facilitated by dividing the church membership into neighborhoods, with one Deacon responsible for each family or person in that neighborhood.  Each Deacon is asked to maintain contact with his or her area to confirm that the family is aware of the activities of the church.  In so doing they are to make sure they understand the ongoing needs of the congregation and see in what manner they can be of assistance to that church member or friend.

This can be done through phone calls, notes, letters, or a personal visit to share and minister to those in need, or sick, or in some matter distressed and needs the help of the church community.

Deacons may also be called to help in the sacrament of Communion at worship as well as helping with the pastors' ministry to the sick and hospitalized.

It is a calling to serve the church and its community of believers.
