Summer Mission 2008

June 15^th – 20^th

The cost is $150 for the entire week.

Serving New York City with The Center for Student Missions

For High School students, College-age students/persons,

and any adult-type church friend.

We are partnering with the Center for Student Missions.  Their mission: to provide students and adults with an effective urban ministry experience that transforms lives, influences local churches and honors Christ.  There are a few advantages to how they do things:

-         You can serve in the world’s largest mission field - right here at home

-         You’ll build the Church, not just buildings

-         You won’t be a tourist on a missions sight-seeing tour

-         Your "projects" will be working with people

-         You’ll go way past a cross-cultural experience

-         You’ll do ministry, not worry about logistics

-         You won’t leave the experience in a scrapbook

Each day we will meet and work with a different Ethnic community in New York City.  Opportunities include working with children in Harlem, teaching English to people from Islamic communities, and much more.  Each night we eat dinner at a different ethnic restaurant. (Can you say “Baba ganoush?”)
