Dear Friends, As our church seeks to fill the vacant Senior Pastor position, there is an opportunity to assess our current situation and future needs. The Mission Study process enabled our congregation to listen to how God is moving in our midst and leading us toward his plan for Clinton Presbyterian Church. This time of transition from "what has been" to "what can be" serves as a time for reaffirmation, renewal, and rebirth. The process began in January of 2011, when the congregation commissioned the Mission Study Team (MST) with the goal of reflecting on the past, studying and reporting the current culture and health of our congregation, and identifying strategic aspirations of our church. Their charge was to produce a Mission Study report as a guide to the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) in its search for our next Senior Pastor and as support to church leaders and pastoral staff as they carry out CPCs' ministry goals. The Mission Study Report was completed in October 2011, affirmed and adopted by Session, and approved by the Elizabeth Presbytery's Committee on Ministry. As we move to the next step in our process to finding our Senior Pastor let us take the time to give a big THANK YOU!, to the members of the Mission Study Team for their dedication, hard work and love of our church family. The Mission Study Team
