Facilities Coordinator (Part time) -  Clinton Presbyterian Church


Position: Facilities Coordinator (Part-time)

Classification: Part-time (10 hours a week - flexible hours in consultation with Head of Staff)

A well-cared for facility is essential for Clinton Presbyterian Church’s life and mission. We are seeking a part-time Facilities Coordinator to assist with the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.  This person will work in conjunction with existing cleaning personnel and property volunteers and paid contractors.

Responsibilities include:

Light building maintenance and repair work at both the church and the church manse (Pastor’s residence), including a willingness to respond to building emergencies.

Management of room set up and breakdown for different groups using the facility.

Provide cleaning support to our preschool program. (This would be in addition to the weekly cleaning already provided by cleaning personnel.)

Maintenance of church grounds. Such maintenance would be in addition to the upkeep provided by landscaping and snow removal contractors.  May include light yard work and clearing/salting sidewalks when needed.

Implement a plan for regular deep cleaning throughout the building.

Coordinate required building inspections in conjunction with appropriate staff and volunteers.

Prepares sanctuary for weddings, funerals and other special events and services. This work would be in addition to regular hours and the custodian would receive additional compensation for these events.

Report needed repairs and maintenance beyond capacity to Property Chair and assist in coordinating solutions.

Before being hired, the candidate must pass a criminal background check 

Salary: $18 per hour
